Effective October 8, 2026
The Foundational Practice Cases on this website are constructed teaching cases. They are designed to illuminate recurring questions in family purpose, governance, stewardship, decision-making, fidelity, and renewal. They may draw on patterns or circumstances encountered across professional and institutional settings, but they are not presented as a factual account of any one client, family, engagement, or outcome.
Names, relationships, events, sequences, financial details, and other circumstances may be fictional, altered, or combined to protect confidentiality and to focus attention on the underlying question. Unless a page expressly states otherwise, no Case should be understood as a testimonial, a case history, or a representation that E. Douglas Partners achieved a particular result for an identified or identifiable person.
The Cases are illustrative, not predictive. They do not promise or guarantee any outcome and are not legal, tax, investment, fiduciary, psychological, or other professional advice. Every family’s circumstances differ, and any action should be considered with appropriately qualified advisors.
Studies in Endurance are a separate content type. They are historical analyses based on publicly available evidence and E. Douglas Partners interpretation. They are not Foundational Practice Cases, client accounts, or evidence of a client result. Each Study should identify its evidence, contradictions, and limits and distinguish reported facts from interpretation.
